On October 18, the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China opened in the Great Hall of the People on the morning of 18th.

On behalf of the eighteenth Central Committee, Xi Jinping presented a report to the General Assembly entitled "Winning the Great Victory of Building a Well-off Society in an All-round Way and Winning the Great Victory of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era". Xi Jinping pointed out that the Nineteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China was a very important congress in the crucial period of building a well-off society in an all-round way and entering a new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The theme of the conference is: never forget the beginning, remember the mission, hold high the great banner of socialism with Chinese characteristics, win the victory of building a well-off society in an all-round way, win the great victory of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, and strive unremittingly for the realization of the Chinese dream of great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

In his report, Xi Jinping pointed out that in the five years since the 18th National Congress, we have adhered to the general tone of steadily striving for progress, faced difficulties and made pioneering progress, and achieved historic achievements in reform and opening up and socialist modernization. Xi Jinping pointed out that after long-term efforts, socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era, which is a new historical orientation for China's development.
